My Mummy and stepdad arrive tomorrow for a couple of months. This will be good.

I haven’t seen my mum in over a year and it’s been four years since she was in New Orleans. It will be good for both of them to get away from the cold and wet in Northern Ireland and enjoy a warmer climate. But of course it will be good to see them and spend time with them, when you live on the other side of the world from your family it’s not like you can pop around for a cup of tea.

She will of course be more interested in seeing her granddaughter. I’m sure she will spoil her rotten and enjoy doing all the things others take for granted like reading to her, picking her up from school, going for ice-cream or whatever. After 11 years here you forget what just having someone to help out is like.

We’ve also got a couple of trips planned as well, both to Florida. And we may take a run up to Memphis to see Graceland or ducks at the Peabody or whatever. Who knows what crazy hi-jinks three generations of the Rea family will get up to, eh?

So let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Love, hugs and kisses to all, S
